Best of the Car of the Year Türkiye 2026 Candidates

The Car of the Year Türkiye award is organized every year by the Automotive Journalists Association (OGD). In the 11th edition in 2026, 33 models launched on the Turkish market between February 2025 and February 2026 were candidates, and seven reached the final. The OGD jury announced the result at a ceremony in June 2026: the Renault Clio won with 3,360 points, the BMW iX3 was second with 2,770 and the Togg T10F third with 2,550. This poll collects the preference of car owners and enthusiasts independently of the jury.

Models on the list

All finalists are included: Renault Clio, BMW iX3, Togg T10F, BYD Sealion 7, Hyundai Inster, Mercedes-Benz CLA and Citroën C5 Aircross. Five models from the 33-car candidate list were added: Renault 5, Fiat Grande Panda, Škoda Elroq, Volvo EX30 and Jeep Compass. This brings small city cars, electric SUVs, domestic production and premium models into one comparison.

How the options were chosen

Every option is a model on OGD's official candidate list. Price and sales ranking were not used; the poll only asks which you like best. Engine options and prices change by trim, so they are not written in the descriptions. Check the brands' current price lists and equipment details before you decide.

Short notes on the award process

The OGD jury evaluated driving quality, ergonomics, safety, technology, energy consumption, equipment and value for money during test drives, and 67 expert journalists scored in the final vote. The BMW iX3 also won Design of the Year and Premium Car of the Year at the same ceremony, and the BYD Sealion 7 collected 1,390 points. Most finalists were electric models. Results in this poll are independent of the jury scores, do not change OGD's decision and only show the preference of visitors to the site.
