What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Necessary cookies are needed for the site to work (for example, to ensure one vote per device) and do not require consent. Analytics and advertising cookies are optional and load only if you accept them.

Necessary cookies

Cookie Provider Purpose Duration
oyv_id Oyverin Ensures one vote per device in each poll (random ID). 1 year
oysid Oyverin Session; form security (CSRF) and notices. Until the browser closes
oyv_consent Oyverin Remembers your cookie choice. 6 months
__cf_bm, cf_clearance Cloudflare Bot protection and security (Turnstile). 30 minutes - 1 year

Analytics cookies (consent)

Cookie Provider Purpose Duration
_ga, _ga_* Google Analytics Anonymous visit statistics (page views, visitor counts). 2 years

Advertising cookies (consent)

Cookie Provider Purpose Duration
__gads, __gpi, IDE Google AdSense / DoubleClick Ad delivery, frequency capping and measurement. 13 months

Consent and Google Consent Mode

Until you decide, no analytics or advertising script is loaded. If you accept, Google tags are loaded with Google Consent Mode v2, where the default state is "denied" and only the categories you allowed are switched on. Your choice is stored for 6 months, after which we ask again.

Changing your choice

You can reopen your cookie preferences with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, or with the button below. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings; if you delete oyv_id, the site can no longer tell that you already voted.
